Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI) has reported a 107% increase in its production to 404,267 vehicles during the first six months of 2013, compared to the corresponding period in 2012.
During the month of June 2013, the company's production rose 100.5% to 65,528 units, compared to the same period previous year.
The company's overseas production rose 95.5% to 93,795 units in for the first six months of the year, whereas the domestic production increased by 89.4% to 13,366 vehiles.
The company's exports increased 113.7% to 216,563 units during the period from January to June 2013 against the same period prior year.
In the first half of 2013m the domestic sales of the manufacturer went up by 100.6% to 95,332 units, compared to the same period last year.
According to the company, the Forester and the Subaru XV models drove the domestic sales of passenger cars representing a 13th straight month of growth, while the Mini vehicle sales dropped compared to the previous month.
The Forester and Impreza model vehicles also recorded high demands in overseas markets for the first six months of 2013.
