Spuntech Industries Inc. — the U.S. division of Israel-based N.R. Spuntech Industries Ltd., a manufacturer of spunlaced fabrics — will invest more than $35 million over the next three years to expand its Roxboro, N.C., facility and add 60 jobs.

Spuntech's U.S. division manufactures a range of products including viscose, polyester, 100-percent polyester and 100-percent polypropylene fabrics in base weights of 45 to 200 grams per square meter and in a variety of finishes. Capacity at the Roxboro facility totals some 12,000 to 14,000 tons annually.
The project was funded in part by a performance-based grant of up to $235,000 from the One North Carolina Fund.
