Nampak Closures has created a new screwcap for South Africa-based Graça’s wine bottle as a replacement to the existing traditional cork closure. The 30 x 50mm length closure has a 30 x 60mm wine finish.
The new closure comes with a cork key ring featuring the message 'Soon to be extinct'. The limited-edition packs are intended by Graça to draw attention in a humorous way to the need to protect cork trees as well as explain the benefits of screwcaps.
Nampak Closures' screwcaps, which have no finicky storage requirements are impermeable, eliminate the high risk of cork taint, experience no loss of resilience and are effortless to open and re-close. They also offer good printing and finishes.
According to Nampak, the resealable screwcaps maintain the flavor, freshness and quality.
