The Sale of BMW Addsup 11.6% in September 2012

German luxury car maker BMW has reported a 11.6% increase in its September 2012 sales to 177,716 vehicles, compared to 159,223 vehicles for the same period in 2011.

BMW brand worldwide vehicle sales increased 14.3% to 146,843 vehicles in September, compared to 128,450 units for the same period last year.

MINI sold 30,562 vehicles in September, an increase of 0.6%, compared to 30,392 units it sold for the same period a year ago.

The company said that Rolls-Royce's sales increased 4.7% year-to-date and the introduction of the Phantom Series II kept demand up in September.

For the first nine months of 2012, BMW sales rose 8.3% to 1,335,502 vehicles, compared to 1,232,619 vehicles for the same period in 2011.

BMW member of the board of management responsible for sales and marketing Ian Robertson said, "Our models continue to perform well and we expect to see further healthy growth in worldwide sales in the fourth quarter."
