Contour has emerged from receivership under new ownership determined to compete in the point-of-view, or POV, camera market.
The company has completed a financial overhaul, reorganized its plans for new product innovation and built a framework for vastly improved distribution.
The company said key retailers have already committed to its product line in its target markets. "The aim is cleare want to create a world class company to support this world class product," said Danny Lysenko, CEO of Contour. "While recovering Contour's position in the market, we'll continue the long tradition of being at the forefront of innovation and bringing to market beautifully simple, yet ultimately professional cameras." The company plans to launch new cameras in coming months featuring one-touch locking record switch, laser alignment system, a 270-degree rotating lens, unsurpassed digital clarity and easy-to-use convenience.
Contour has already resumed selling its Contour+2 with wireless smartphone connectivity, the waterproof ROAM2 and a full range of accessories at its relaunched contour.com.
