Culina, a UK-based provider of logistics services for food and drink firms, is set to establish a chilled distribution center at Cabot Park, Bristol in 2013.
The proposed facility, spread over an area of around 19,500m2, will replace the company's existing warehouse that is on an adjacent site.
This facility is expected to provide additional capability to the company in the South West, support the contract extensions and new business wins with major food brands in the region that have been achieved recently.
Commenting on the expansion Culina chief operating officer Steve Winwood said that it is now the right time for the company to invest in the expansion of its operations in order to meet the increasing consumer demand.
In addition, the new facility will also add around 10,000 chilled pallet locations to its chilled network across the country. Culina expects to create 100 new jobs in order to provide extended operations.
