Flying Dog Brewery has collaborated with the Evolution Brewing (Evo) to launch the Natural Selection Ale, a three-part release in the US.
The breweries plan to launch the Genus One, stock ale in March 2013 at the Craft Brewers Conference in Washington, US.
Remaining parts of the Natural Selection Ale, Genus Two and Genus Three are scheduled to be released in October.
Flying Dog Brewery brewmaster Matt Brophy said: "We released our first double dry hopped beer last year and have been experimenting with cutting edge hop varietals in our series of Single Hop Imperial IPAs for the past two years."
The ingredients used in the Genus One include the caramel, brown fruit notes, hints of roast, chocolate, and toast.
