Industrieanlagen Is Delivering a Large-Scale Digital Printing Line to The Hörmann

The German technology supplier Hymmen Industrieanlagen is presently delivering a large-scale digital printing line to the door manufacturer Hörmann. This 70 m-long system is to be installed in Hörmann’s plant in Ichtershausen, Germany, which specialises in making sectional garage doors. Hörmann is to use this technology, which will have a working width of 700 mm, to print film-laminated garage door parts. The addition will allow the firm to significantly enhance its collection, which had previously been limited to a few decors. In the next stage of the process, a functional top coat will be added to the digitally printed surfaces for exterior applications. The order placed by Hörmann back in early 2011 entails the complete production line featuring three Juniper digital printers, priming and end processing technology. Hörmann and other partners developed this technology at Hymmen’s laboratory in Rödinghausen over a two-year period.
