Towers Watson Has Named Christof Bentele and Chris Holt to Lead Crisis Management Team

Global professional services company Towers Watson has named Christof Bentele and Chris Holt to lead its new Crisis Management team, marking its foray into crisis management market.

The new team has been designed to develop expertise in terrorism, kidnap, ransom & extortion, product recall, and hostile environment risks that will help clients manage their risk exposure, while deliver response solutions if events occur.

Towers Watson Risk and Financial Services global leader Tricia Guinn said, "Today's business environment is full of crisis risk exposure. Preparedness and resilience are crucial to avoiding or recovering from a crisis that could threaten your company's very survival."

"Companies are seeking out partners who can help them prepare for crisis risk situations from both a risk management and insurance coverage perspective."

Bentele joins Towers Watson in October this year and will be chief broking officer for the Crisis Management business, responsible for building a global team and delivering product, service, innovation and distinctive value to clients and prospects, insurance and reinsurance markets, and crisis response organizations.

Prior to Towers, Bentele served at Aon for 12 years and most recently as the chief broking officer of Aon Crisis Management in London.

With 25 years of global experience in the risk consulting, underwriting and broking businesses, he has also worked with AIG as director of its crisis management division.

Before Towers Watson, where he will also serve in a similar capacity as Bentele, Holt was the consulting director at Aon Crisis Management.
