Matrix Packaging Machinery has announced the launch of a new bagging machine. The X machine packs the production capacity of two machines, up to 250-bags-per-minute into the floor space required for one 45-inch wide bagger.
According to the company, the new machine has been launched for coffee, baking, snack food, prepared food, confectionary and other similar companies.
Matrix vice president and general manager Marc Willden said the machine is actually two baggers with two augers that the company advanced engineering has combined into a single small footprint unit.
"Production managers can bag the same product using the two augers and form-fill-seal units or run different products at the same time. This gives operations the ability to easily mix or match production runs to meet daily requirements," Willden said.
X machine is equipped with two augers from Automation Supply & Engineering and form pillow bags from three to 15-inches long and from two to 7.5-inches wide.
The machine features electronic servo motion control for precise changeover and its integrated speed control of takeaway conveyors enhances overall packaging line integration.
