ARM has signed 75 licenses for its Mali GPU which are now in 70% of graphics-enabled digital TVs, 50% of Android tablets and 20% of Android smartphones, said ARM at Mobile World Congress this morning.
Mali GPU volumes have grown from less than 50 million Mali-enabled SoCs in 2011 to over 150 million in 2012 and are expected to top 240 million in 2013.
Over 95% of the Mali graphics processors shipped last year were in SoCs alongside Cortex-A series processors.
1.1 billion smartphones are expected to ship in 2013.
