Daimler Has Won a Contract to Supply 65 Vehicles to The Region of Kronoberg in Sweden

Setra Bus and Coach, a subsidiary of the Stuttgart-based automobile manufacturer Daimler, has won a contract to supply 65 vehicles to the region of Kronoberg in Sweden.

Under the deal, the manufacturer will deliver 65 units of its MultiClass 400 series buses including the two-axle S 416 UL and three-axle S 417 UL models over a ten-year period starting from June 2013.

The vehicles will be used to offer transport services for the school and regular bus services in the country.

Among the total buses, about 50 units are to be delivered to the Karlssonbuss i Vaggeryd company and its subsidiaries including Sven Carlsson Trafik, Moheda Buss and Grimslovsbuss in the country.

The remaining 15 vehicles will be used by companies including Gerts Busstrafik, Tingsryds Buss and Ryssbybygdens Buss to offer services in the region.

Equipped with the Euro V compliant engines with BlueTec technology, the vehicles feature double doors, wheelchair lifts, monitoring cameras and modern infotainment system.
