Distributor The In Thing is backing Predasaurs with a marketing campaign.
Each Predasaurs figure features its own unique metallic weapon, shield, glow in the dark teeth and trading card. There are more than 70 trading cards and figures to collect.
The range includes foil packs, blister packs, Battle Sets, Catapult Sets and Collector Tins, with prices starting from 99p and rising to £8.99. The series is also closely linked to the interactive Predasaurs website, where children can play a game and explore Predasaurea further.
In print, Predasaurs samples will be distributed as free gifts on the cover of more than 200,000 UK boys magazines such as Toxic and BeanoMax. There will also be coverage in boys magazines for five to 11 year olds, including features and competitions, explaining the Predasaurs background story. Plus, a partnership with school current affairs newspaper First News will aim to bridge the gap between parents, schools and pupils.
Online, a dedicated social media team is building 'Brand Predasaurs' online prior to, during and after launch.
Predasaurs.com will act as the central hub for additional online play elements and character interactivity.
On TV, Predasaurs' TV advertising schedule runs throughout March and April, around the key school holiday period, with an emphasis on channels targeting boys aged five to nine years old. It is set to deliver over 750 TVRs.
The campaign will focus on a 20-second commercial that promotes the whole range and highlights the 99p price point.
