In the first half of the 2012/2013 financial year (end of March), the British company Accsys Technologies, the parent company of the Dutch wood-modification company Titan Wood, again increased turnover year on year by 47% to €9.1m, thereby considerably accelerating the upward trend shown in the 2011/2012 financial year (+10%).
Turnover generated by sales of Accoya wood improved in the first half of 2012/2013 by 40% to €7.7m. Accsys's results remain in the red in spite of turnover growth. However, losses were again reduced, mainly on account of higher Accoya sales and improved capacity utilisation at the Arnheim plant. The first half of the year showed an operating loss of €5.3m and a net loss of €5.5m.
