The Automotive Transportation Service Superintendents Association (ATSSA) has been hard at work so Peel region children can have a merrier Christmas.
The group recently hosted a charity dinner on December 10, where they presented the Toys for Tots campaign a donation of $860 and 260 toys.
"We've been doing to Toys for Tots since it started about 15 years ago," said Brian Sibbald, the ATSSA program director.
The group began fundraising for the toy drive in September at a charity putting game.
The group uses each meeting as an opportunity to collect funds, either through a 50/50 draw or scheduled events, to help raise money for various community groups.
"We try to spread it around," said Sibbald.
The ATSSA have managed to spread the wealth to a Vaughan area food bank with a $500 donation, along with 1000 pounds of food.
In addition to the food bank, the group has also made a donation to a scholarship program at Centennial College.
The ATSSA meet on the second Tuesday of each month.
