Bendheim Wall Systems Launched a New Continuing Education Program

Bendheim Wall Systems, Inc. is launching a new continuing education program titled "Designing Safe and Sustainable Buildings with Channel Glass Wall Systems." The free, self-study online program qualifies for one AIA HSW/SD learning unit and one USGBC / GBCI continuing education hour.

The course explores the structural properties and design benefits of channel glass wall systems, including daylighting capabilities, thermal performance, types of safety glass, and safety standards and certifications. The sustainable design benefits of channel glass are highlighted through a number of project case studies. They include the LEED Platinum Silver Lake Branch Library, Los Angeles, and the Bronx Library Center, New York City's first LEED certified building

"With its variety of textures, thermal coatings and insulation options, channel glass is a versatile building product. Our projects consistently show that channel glass can improve the energy efficiency of buildings, the occupants' comfort, and contribute towards LEED® certification," said Michael Tryon, General Manager for Bendheim Wall Systems, Inc. "The program is designed by Bendheim engineering and installation experts and reveals how channel glass can help architects achieve their sustainability goals."

Bendheim Wall Systems' online continuing education program earns architects and designers one AIA Health, Safety and Welfare / Sustainable Design learning unit (1 HSW/SD/LU), as well as one U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) / Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) continuing education hour. The program is also available as a live, in-office presentation for AIA credit in select areas – for groups of ten or more participant
