High Density Polyethylene bottles supplier Nampak Plastics UK has announced the availability of its Infini bottle to the retailers helping them to reach their sustainability targets.
The Nampak-led initiative, ultra-lightweight plastic milk bottle is 15% lighter compared to the standard bottle design and contains up to 15% recycled materials.
According to the company, the key objective in the bottle's design was to reduce the weight of materials used during production without affecting the bottle's integrity and requirement to be 'fit for purpose'.
The reduction in the material weight needed to produce the bottle is equal to an average 16% weight saving across the range, with specific bottle sizes achieving savings as high as 25%.
As part of the new design, the handle is positioned at the corner edge of the bottle. The bottle is fully recyclable and offers the optimum solution for carbon reduction.
