Egypt-based Upper Egypt for Food Industries (UEFI) plans to invest EGP200m ($32.59m) to build two food production facilities in El Menia and Beni Suef governorates.
The first plant, which will be built with an investment of EGP100m (16.29m), will have the capacity to produce 10,000 tons of concentrate annually. It will be constructed on a 20,000m2 site and is expected to become operational in April 2013.
The second plant will be built with a similar cost on a 40,000m2 site, and will produce 20,000 tons of frozen vegetables annually, reported Zawya.com.
UEFI, established in 1999, produces and distributes frozen food products for the retail and food-service-sectors.
