Schwebel Baking has recalled 18,979 units of Golden Rich Buns with Honey, as they contain egg which is not mentioned on the labeling, according to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The product subject to recall is Golden Rich Buns 18oz with lot codes CAFC8W, CAFC7B; best by 20 September, 21 September; UPC 071319000838 and 071319000838.
The recalled products were distributed to retail stores and restaurants in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, New York, West Virginia, and Michigan between 9 September 2013 and 10 September 2013.
The problem was identified during package validation process. People intolerant to eggs are at a risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume the affected product.
No other products are affected in the recall.
Schwebel Baking has received no reports of illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
Customers who have purchased the product have been advised to return the affected product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
