BlueScope Planned to Reconfigure Australian Steel Production

It’s reported that the BlueScope planned to reconfigure its Australian cold rolling, metal coated and painted steel production.

Mr. Mark R. Vassella, the Chief Executive of Bluescope Australia and New Zealand said that this adjustment will including cutting off jobs of operate lines at Western Post, with around 110 employees and 60 contractors expected to leave the business over the coming months as current domestic demand decreased.

He also pointed out that they will enter a consultation phase with employees and with union representatives to manage the transition and will keep maintain the capability to meet current and future needs.
