PC industry may not escape the recession fate, but Lenovo holds optimistic expectations, predicting that its PC sales will grow by 10%, and smartphone sales will grow by 5% to 10% compared to last year. Lenovo plans to reach 50% of group self-control capacity rate in 1 to 2 years.
Lenovo Investor Relations Senior Manager Bryan Hsu said, assuming that computer market does not change this year, Lenovo will grow by 10%. China's PC market is expected to stabilize this year and signs are quite distinctive. The computer demand declined by 15% year-on-year in June to August 2012, but in September-November, the recession reduced to 4% -5%. The government is actively stimulating demand, coupled with the expiry of the 2014 version of Microsoft XP sale, commercial replacement demand is expected to reproduce.
