Swiss food business Aryzta has acquired Irish-owned gourmet food products supplier La Rousse Foods.
La Rousse Foods operates own butchery, cheese-maturing room and chocolate lab to cater to more than 1,300 corporate customers in Ireland. It offers a wide range of fresh, seasonal and innovative produce from a network of local and international producers.
The financial terms of the acquisition are not disclosed. However, the deal might be valued at around €30m, The Irish Times reported citing industry sources.
Aryzta Europe and Asia Pacific CEO Hilliard Lombard said: "This is another exciting chapter in the Aryzta Ireland story continuing the pipeline of investment in growth across our food solutions and bakery divisions."
La Rousse Foods co-founder Marc Amand will continue as the ambassador, with managing director Stuart Campbell heading daily operations.
Aryzta offers baked sweet and savoury goods including artisan breads, buns and rolls, muffins, frozen cookie dough, laminated dough, donuts, continental pastries, sweet and savoury reception goods, and savoury pizzas and tarts.
