North America based intercity bus transportation provider Greyhound Lines has placed an order for 220 new buses with Motor Coach Industries (MCI) and Prevost.
The deal involves 130 units of the D4505 buses from MCI and 90 units of the X3-45 buses from Prevost.
Among the new buses, the company anticipates to launch the first 120 buses in May 2013, while the remaining are expected to follow in 2014.
According to the company, all the buses will be equipped with new safety features, environmental technology and digital communications, along with cabin comforts that make the trip more enjoyable for customers.
Features of the buses include blue and chrome livery, Wi-Fi, power outlets, extra legroom, leather seating, wheelchair accessibility and three-point safety belts.
The vehicles are claimed to be powered by clean-diesel, low-emission engines and feature the latest technology in safety and efficiency that include DriveCam and Cadec's global-positioning and communications system, PowerVue.
