HP Scitex has named color communication systems and software tool developer Color-Logic as a Silver Technology partner.
According to Color-Logic, both the companies together enable large-format printers to produce good images on metallic substrates.
Color-Logic's Process Metallic Color System adds a new capability to HP customers and the jobs which can be printed using the company's technique include package prototypes, store end caps, signage as well as posters.
With the Color-Logic design software, graphic designers or prepress personnel can produce properly masked files using a plug-in in their conventional design software.
Color-Logic chief technical officer Richard Ainge said, "The ability of the HP Scitex FB7600 Industrial Press to print on metallic substrate, coupled with the availability of white ink, makes our partnership a winning combination for both companies."
