Continental is extending its offer with ContiTread, the Continental premium tread for cold retreading.
"We are considerably extending the ContiTread™ range for our partners. In total we are offering ten new items for various segments and commercial vehicle classes," explains Christian Sass, head of the Truck Tire Retreading business unit, EMEA (Europa, Middle East, Africa).
The Continental LDR 1+ drive-axle tire profile with the M+S label is immediately available to Continental retreading partners for inner-city and regional haulage, as an economic alternative for light and medium-heavy trucks in the haulage tire segment, with five new sizes: 205/75 R 17.5, 215/75 R 17.5, 225/75 R 17.5, 235/75 R 17.5 and 245/70 R 17.5.
For winter tires using the cold retreading process, Continental offers the drive axle profile HDW 2 Scandinavia with M+S label, available in size 315/80 R 22.5, and the winter tire profiles HTW 2 for 385/65 R 22.5 and 385/55 R 22.5 for trailers and semitrailers. In addition, there are treads for the HTL 1 Eco Plus in sizes 385/65 R 22.5 and 385/55 R 22.5 for cold retreading trailer tires.
All ContiTread™ treads are optimally designed for use with Continental casings, and also give very good results on casings of other premium manufacturers. ContiTread™ is part of the modular ContiLifeCycle concept, where Continental supplies its customers with cost-effective service solutions throughout the entire tire life, from new tires through regrooving, casing management, to retreading.
