Hyundai Motor is planning to build two vehicle manufacturing plants in China.
The car maker is planning to remodel one of its partners, Beijing Automotive Industry Holding's plant and wants to build another plant in the sub continent.
Reports suggests that Hyundai wanted to build a plant at Chongqing, a southwestern Chinese city, but the Chinese government has not given the approval yet, instead the Chinese government wants Hyundai to build its plant in the northeastern province of Hebei.
Hyundai, on the other hand wants a plant in Chongqing to meet the growing demand of the customers in the western part of China.
The company already has three vehicle assembly plants in the Beijing area, and the new plants if approved will start operations by 2016.
