Drillsearch Energy Has Cased and Suspended Its Coorabie-1 Wet Gas Exploration Well

Drillsearch Energy has cased and suspended its Coorabie-1 wet gas exploration well in the Cooper Basin Western Flank for future evaluation of the Patchawarra and Tirrawarra sands.

The well encountered good hydrocarbon fluorescence and gas shows in sands and coals throughout the Patchawarra Formation and Tirrawarra Sandstones with wireline logging highlighting potential hydrocarbon bearing zones in the two sands.

However drill stem testing indicated that the zones atre tight.

Coorabie-1 was the first of four wells in PEL 106B targeting the Patchawarra and Tirrawarra Formations.

The Ensign 930 rig will move 2.4km south west from Coorabie-1 to drill the second well in this campaign, Rosetta-1.

Drillsearch has a 50% interest in PEL 106B while operator Beach Energy holds the remaining 50%.
