Kellogg Is Voluntarily Recalling About 36,000 Packages of Its Special K Red Berries Cereal

US-based food company Kellogg is voluntarily recalling about 36,000 packages of its Special K Red Berries cereal as they may contain glass fragments.

The product subject to the recall includes 11.2oz. packs bearing UPC Code 38000 59923, best before date of 02 December 2013 KNC; 22.4oz. twin packs bearing UPC Code 38000 78356, best before date of 30 November 2013 KNA and 30 November 2013 KNB; 37oz. packs with UPC Code 38000 20940, best before date of 30 November 2013 KNB.

Kellogg stated that the affected products were distributed to various retailers across the US. The company will provide a replacement coupon to reporting consumers and may also make arrangements to retrieve the product for further evaluation.

There have been no reported reactions associated with the consumption of these products.
