Non-Invasive Device Has Been Initiated by MagDev for Pain and Inflammation Management

MagDev Research has introduced a new non-invasive hand held delivery device for reducing inflammation and lowering pain levels with no known side effects.

The device utilizes a Pulsed Magnetic Field Therapy (PMFT), a low frequency magnetic pulse system, which is similar to NASA's Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Field Therapy (PEMFT).

PEMFT has proven to be effective in regenerating bones, speeding the knitting of broken bones, treating depression (TMS) and managing joint pain, claims the company.

Using low frequency (approximately 8 Hertz) alternating flux waves generated by static XtraFlux Neodymium magnets, the system also has the potential to lower health care costs and improve the quality of life all across America.

The company said it is currently organizing controlled clinical efficacy trials to determine the various uses for the hand held device, effectiveness of each use as well as the frequency of treatments.

MagDev Research president and CEO James Hurley said, "Early results from our volunteer testing program are very encouraging."

The company said with the early testing success, it is planning to bring the device to US market later in 2013.
