JLR Is Aiming to Come Back 11,852 Vehicles in China Owing to Cars'prombles

British luxury car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is planning to recall 11,852 vehicles in China due to the defects in engine and oil leakage problems.

The recall affects 3,196 units of the Jaguar XF models manufactured between July 2012 and May 2013 as well as XJ produced between March 2012 and May 2013.

According to the Chinese General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), the vehicles are having potential engine problems.

Additionally, the plans include recall of about 8,656 Land Rover Freelander 2 vehicles and Range Rover Auroras produced from January 2012 to June 2013, over a possibility of oil leakage.

JLR said in an emailed response that the company's technical field reporting team was made aware of a limited number of incidents involving fuel leaks from the affected engine.

"Following a thorough and detailed engineering investigation, Jaguar Land Rover has taken the decision to voluntarily recall all potentially affected vehicles," the mail read.
