IL&FS Financial Services Limited, the financial services arm of the Group inaugurated its fourth international office in Hong Kong on December 21st 2012 at the hands of His Excellency Mr John Tsang Chun-wah, GBM, JP, the Financial Secretary, Government of Hong Kong SAR. His Excellency Mr Gaddam Dharmendra, Consul General, Government of India to Hong Kong was the Guest of Honor at the function commemorating the opening of the Hong Kong office. The function was well attended by representatives from banks, financial institutions, investment banks and corporate houses.
Mr John Tsang Chun-wah said that "First and foremost, it is my great pleasure to join you all in celebrating the Inauguration of IL&FS office in Hong Kong. I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity of visiting your company headquarters during my trip to Mumbai in 2007, and I am delighted to welcome you to Hong Kong today."

The Hong Kong operations of IFIN will seek to provide a wide range of investment banking services to cater to the requirements of Indian and International customers in the Greater China, East and North Asia markets. The prime focus of the Hong Kong operations would be assisting in raising capital from the region for deployment globally for its clients, including IL&FS Group projects.
The office would aim at setting up of complementary alliances between corporates and financial institutions across a wider array of businesses and leveraging on the infrastructure opportunities in the region and India. The office would also work closely to establish a network of select players in the region and subject to receiving appropriate regulatory approvals, provide services in a wide range of financial products like debt syndications, offshore financing including mezzanine structures, private equity syndication, placement and distribution of funds/bonds, project and financial advisory services.
