The Movement of Opus 12 Goes Into Action in a Remarkable Way

Harry Winston Opus 12 Watch with Emmanuel Bouchet

Launched in 2001, Harry Winston's Opus watch line is the story of partnerships between the brand and the most talented and innovative watchmakers. Each Opus timepiece represents a collaborative journey to reinvent the concept of telling time. Inspired by the Copernican Revolution, the 2012 Opus watch made in collaboration with with renowned watchmaker Emmanuel Bouchet defies the conventional rules of watchmaking, giving birth to the most improbable mechanical concept.

With over 607 components, the movement of Opus 12 is a masterpiece that deliberately overturns the perception of time. In most watches the evolution of time is imperceptible. Opus 12, on the other hand, goes into action in a remarkable way, with the rotation of its hands every five minute and a spectacular show at the change of every hour.

The 2012 mechanical watch cased in white gold includes 607 parts, 80 jewels, and two barrels. Harry Winston made only 120 of these limited timepiece, retailing for $260,000.
