New York Life has elected Annamaria Banaszek, Craig DeSanto and John DiRago as senior vice presidents of the company and will report to Chris Blunt, president of the Insurance Group.
Banaszek will serve as head of the Group's Wealth Management Department and be responsible for wealth management and investment advisory services, including Eagle Strategies.
Having joined New York Life as a Finance director in 2001, Banaszek served as managing director in 2006, vice president in 2008, chief administrative officer in Retirement Income Security (RIS) in 2010.
Prior to New York Life, she held roles at Coopers & Lybrand, Citibank and Deutsche Bank.
Responsible for the Group's life insurance product management, DeSanto will manage all accounting P&L for life products, identify segmented market opportunities and develop product strategies and solutions to address targeted consumer/market needs.
As an actuarial summer intern, he joined New York Life in 1997 and was named corporate vice president in 2007 and managed institutional insurance business from 2008 to 2011as vice president and actuary in the Advanced Markets Network Department.
He later on moved to become first vice president and actuary as well as head of the affluent market business in 2011.
DiRago will lead the Group's Service Department, managing nearly 2,100 new business and customer service professionals across the country.
At New York Life, he worked for the Individual Policy Services Department in 1990 and was promoted to assistant vice president in 2000, corporate vice president in 2003, and from 2004 to 2005 served as chief of staff for the Individual Life Department.
From 2005 to 2006, he worked in the Agency Department and in 2007 was elected vice president and first vice president in 2010.
