Canada-based Manulife Financial has signed an agreement with TELUS Health to implement its eClaims platform to simplify and accelerate the submission and reimbursement of extended healthcare claims.
Under the terms of the agreement, the eClaims web portal is expected to compliment Manulife's plan member Online Claims Submission.
Manulife Financial Group Business Development senior vice-president Sue Reibel said, "It's important for us to bring our clients a solution that offers convenience but ensures the integrity of our claims adjudication process."
TELUS Health eClaims platform enables allied healthcare providers such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, vision care providers, as well as acupuncturists, registered massage therapists, naturopathic doctors, and others to submit claims online on behalf of patients.
The eClaims solution will support point-of-care claims for 80% of the private insurance community across Canada,
Currently, nearly 15,000 allied healthcare providers are already offering the service.
