The explanation seems impossible or even unreal,but someone has done it!Japanese designer Ryosuke Fukusada has created The Wooden Light Bulb,a solid wood LED device with a new attraction by means of traditional craft techniques.
How was it made you may ask?
Well,The Wooden Light Bulb is wrapped by a wooden shell,which is then chipped until minimum thickness with the Japanese'ROKURO'artisanal technique.The socket of The Wooden Light Bulb features aluminum,which blends well with the wooden design to create a modern impression.Combining craftiness and modern style The Wooden Light Bulb is well deserving of the Kyoto renaissance design award.
