Swiss company Cham Paper Group has entered into a cooperative agreement with Brigl & Bergmeister (B&B), a manufacturer of single-sided coated speciality papers.
Austria-based B&B will take up the production and marketing of silicone-base papers (clay-coated kraft papers) for release liners at its production site in Niklasdorf.
The group will contribute the technological expertise required in this regard and the initial products manufactured at the site will be available in the second half of 2013.
In the course of converting its production capacity in mid 2012, the group discontinued manufacturing the specialty papers.
The parties have not disclosed the details of the agreement.
