Following their hugely successful collaborative venture in the US, the California-based clothier Patagonia has once again inked a deal with the famous American multinational Internet consumer-to-consumer corporation eBay.
The two companies have joined forces to launch the UK’s first-ever multi-seller branded shop under their Common Threads Partnership program, which enables the Patagonia clothing owners to resell their items.
The unique store aims to encourage customers to dig out redundant Patagonia garments (which will not be used anymore) from their wardrobes and list them on eBay for re-sale to ensure the full life cycle utility of the apparels.
Launched in 2011, Common Threads Partnership program has resold more than 38,000 items in the US. Founded in 1973, Patagonia specializes in a range of high-end outdoor garments.
Headquartered in California, the popular e-commerce site eBay has presence in over thirty countries.
