Roche Bros Introduced New Chicken and Pork Options, Expanding Its Meat Department Offering

US-based full-service supermarket chain Roche Bros has introduced new chicken and pork options, expanding its meat department offerings. The chain is offering chicken with no added antibiotics and Niman Ranch all natural pork.

According to the company, the new 100% Natural Chicken is raised without antibiotics, hormones, or steroids and is free from artificial ingredients or chemical preservatives. In addition, the chicken is American Humane Certified, a voluntary third party animal welfare audit program setting the standards for how food animals are raised.

The other new addition is a variety of all natural pork products from Niman Ranch. The company noted that Niman Ranch hogs are fed a 100% vegetarian diet and never receive hormones or antibiotics.

The company also offers all-natural Angus beef, which is free of antibiotics and hormones.

Commenting on the launch Roche Bros Meat director Frank Vitale said that company has been working on expanding its all natural meat selection for some time and is glad to fulfill an increasing number of customer requests for these products.

"We are always striving to provide a wider product mix so that our customers can count on having options and choices when they shop our stores," added Vitale.

These new products complement the company's seafood offerings, including sustainably harvested and naturally processed fish choices.

Currently, Roche Bros has 18 stores located throughout Greater Boston, Metro-West and Southern Massachusetts. It employs around 4,000 full and part-time employees.
