Stop empty container control

In conjunction with the National ICT Australia (NICTA), container transport booking software provider 1-Stop Connections will launch its latest product called ‘Container Control’ on 6 February, 2013.

While container terminals around the country have improved their truck loading performance markedly in recent months, thanks in part to 1-Stop, empty container parks have not been part of the process and continue to be a source of delay, costs and frustration to importers, exporters and transport companies alike.

New South Wales Minister for Roads and Ports the Hon. Duncan Gay will officially launch the product at the NICTA head office. Rob Fitzpatrick, the director of Infrastructure, Transport and Logistics Business Team at NICTA will also be in attendance, as will the new CEO of 1-Stop Connections, Michael Bouari.

“Container Control will allow participants in the supply chain to work together to reduce unnecessary truck trips. There are cost savings for everyone, but the biggest win will be how this product reduces traffic congestion and, therefore, reduces carbon emissions without any government funding,” says Michael Bouari. “We’re proud to be a part of a project that will have a positive effect on our environment, and wouldn’t have been able to do so without the support of NICTA.”

The launch will be held on Wednesday 6 February 2013 at NICTA’s head office in the AustralianTechnologyPark in Sydney, New South Wales. (65)
