SBC Has Reached an Agreement to Sell The Project Rights for a Photovoltaic Development

The Solar Building Company Ltd (SBC) has reached an agreement to sell the project rights for a photovoltaic development in the south of England to S.A.G. Solarstrom AG, a leading European EPC contractor and service provider.

SBC initially developed the 5.5 MWp site in St. Ive, Liskeard, obtained all approvals, and prepared it for construction.

This ground - mounted system will be installed with high quality components, including polycrystalline photovoltaic modules from Hanwha and inverters from LTi. The site, with an annual yield of 980 kWh/kWp, presents an excellent investment opportunity.

After completion, the installation will produce around 5.4 million kWh per year – equivalent to supplying electricity for 1,500 four -

person households – and will save around 3,600 tons of CO2 per year.

“The project represents an ideal introduction to the UK market, as the project was completely developed by The Solar Building Company and we were able to start construction without any delays,” explained Oliver Günter, member of the Executive Board of S.A.G. Solarstrom AG.

The photovoltaic system is already under construction and should be connected to the public grid in March. “This is planned to be the first in a number of joint developments,” added James Steynor, SBC Managing Director
