PepsiCo Foods Canada has unveiled new Harvest Crunch Quinoa Granola Bars, a snack that is made with quinoa, Canadian oats, wheat, brown rice, almonds, sunflower seeds, peanuts and milk chocolate,
The new bar is created by Quaker Canada's research and development team and is the Quaker's first quinoa bar widely available at major grocery retailers across Canada.
The bar offer a harmony of sweet and salty tastes with chewy and crispy textures, the company said.
Available in Chocolate Nut Medley flavor, the snack joins the popular Harvest Crunch lineup of granola bars introduced in 2012 and contains nine grams of whole grains per serving.
Harvest Crunch Quinoa Bars complement Quaker's portfolio of snacks including the popular Chewy, Yogurt, and Fibre & Omega-3 Granola Bars. It is available at grocery retailers across the country for a suggested retail price of C$3.49 ($3.37) per box.
PepsiCo Canada is organized into two business units - PepsiCo Foods Canada which includes the Frito Lay Canada and Quaker divisions and PepsiCo Beverages Canada includes the Pepsi, Gatorade and Tropicana businesses.
