Cabling vendor R&M has unveiled its new Venus SCM Solution, which it says can offer a minimum bending radius of 40 millimeters.
R&M says this “Minimises attenuation losses in the fibers and facilitates easier handling during installation”, and can enable network operators to easily multiply the utility of their networks.
Shibu Vahid, Head of Technical Operations, R&M Middle East, Turkey & Africa said, “Middle East enterprises and service providers today ask how all their data, signals, pictures, movies, music and apps will be transmitted at high speed and with high reliability. Full-scale fiber optic (FO) networks are what is required to meet ever growing data transmission demands as only they provide the necessary data throughput and transmission speeds for all subscribers in a network.
“Fiber optics have become the backbone of modern networks and at R&M, we are constantly pushing the barriers of this technology.”
The Venus SCM boxes are available in three sizes, with packing density ranges from 144 to 864 splice connections, or twelve to 192 patch connections.
The splice area is equipped with the different SCM trays for fiber management, which can be “easily installed and removed”.
The product expands the R&Mfoxs FTTH range, which consists of standard cabling solutions for all network levels up to Fiber to the Home (FTTH).
Single Circuit Management (SCM) is an advancement by R&M which it claims can enable individual fibres and subscribers to be managed using a handy and scalable modular tray technology.
Up to 72 subscribers can be separated in a single box.
