The officials of the Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) and L&T International Group, a garment manufacturing company in Philippines, have entered into an agreement for the development and expansion of the L&T Group in Clark, located northwest of Manila, Manila Bulletin reported.
The president and CEO of CIAC, Victor Jose I.Luciano and the president of L&T Group Francisco Sauceda signed two lease contracts for the development of the garment company in the civil aviation complex, inside the Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.
According to the first lease contract, the expansion of the L&T Group factory will cover an area of 6,003 square meters and is expected to generate 150 job openings in the first year of operation. This project will start by next year.
According to the second lease contract, the L&T Group factory will cover an area of 5,941 square meters, which is the leased area for future expansion. Both the lease contracts are for a period of ten years.
Luciano said the two lease contracts pave way for the development and future expansion of the garment firm’s operations at the aviation complex.
L&T International Group is a garment manufacturing company for international brands, operating in Clark since 1994, and employs about 6,000 workers in Clark. (GK)
