JNS Holdings has established a new majority owned subsidiary called as Evolve USA Charging in Illinois, US that handles sales, service and the development of electric vehicle (EV) charging systems.
As part of the Chicago Grant Agreement, under which it was formed, the company has also signed an asset purchase agreement.
After obtaining the court's approval, Evolve will start the a network of owned and operated units that includes 142 units of Level II chargers and 26 Level III DC fast chargers within the Chicago market.
JNS Holdings chief executive officer Brian Howe said the company believes that EV Charging Stations offer an opportunity for revenue growth as more consumers seek alternatives to oil dependency and environmentally friendly options.
"With more and more automobile manufacturers developing electric vehicles and the cost of such vehicles coming down the need for charging stations will only increase," Howe added.
Additionally, the company will focus on expanding its number of units with more acquisitions and the development of new locations.
