Hyundai is planning to take on luxury automotive market with a stand-alone brand 'Genesis' that is expected to introduce six new luxury models by 2020.
Hyundai already offers four-door, five passenger sedan with the same name, with the latest model featuring 311-hp V-6 engine with rear-wheel drive.
According to Hyundai, Genesis brand will redefine luxury and it will provide a new platform for future mobility centered on people.
The brand will focus on four key aspects: Human-focused innovation, refined and balanced performance, athletic elegance in design and hassle-free customer experience.
The brand is likely to introduce vehicles tailored to closely-meet the needs of customers which will have great driving dynamics and design, and innovations.
Unlike its other models, the cars produced under the new brand will be focused on personalization and will boast a new wing-type emblem.
The Genesis models will be introduced with the letter 'G' with numbers like 90, 80 or 70 representing the segment.
