No Injuries Occurred in Theodore Alexander Vietnam Factory Fire

Officials with high-end manufacturer Theodore Alexander said that no injuries were reported in a fire that occurred early Wednesday afternoon at the company's facility here.

The fire affected finishing and work and processing areas at the 660,000-square-foot factory, company officials said. Operations in those areas will be moved to other Theodore Alexander facilities in Vietnam.

The company said in a press release it is preparing revised production and shipment plans. It added that the cause of the fire was undetermined.

"There were no injuries so our people were fine. We're in the midst of assessing the damage and are putting together a plan of attack and our people are ready to get back at it," said Russell Towner, president of Theodore Alexander USA.

Thanks to rapid response and the company's established Emergency procedures,

None of the more than 3,000 people employed at the factory were injured.

Theodore Alexander added that it has substantial inventory in both the United States and overseas in preparation for the three-week Tet new year holiday.

Samples slated for the spring High Point Market were unaffected and the company is proceeding with market plans as scheduled.
