Christian Schwarz Left The Group with Effect From 9 January 2013

Christian Schwarz, who had been CEO of the Swedspan Group owned by the Ikea concern since August 2008, left the group with effect from 9 January 2013. Jörgen Lindquist, who had been appointed as CFO of the Swedspan Group in September 2009, was subsequently appointed as acting CEO in addition to his existing position. Prior to joining Swedspan, Schwarz had until the end of 2007 been chief operating officer (COO) at Glunz, as well as executive vice president and COO Central Europe at Sonae Industria. During the last four and a half years at Swedspan he was involved in the integration of Swedwood's former particleboard plants in Hultsfred, Sweden, and Malacky, Slovakia, the takeover of the particleboard plants in Kazlu Ruda (Lithuania), Lure (France) and Novgorod (Russia), the building of the thin-panel plant in Orla (Poland) and most recently in the preparations for the replacement investment in Malacky (Slovakia).
