Japan-based Shionogi has opted for Qumas ComplianceSP on Microsoft SharePoint 2010 to manage and control quality and manufacturing document.
Shionogi will use the Qumas technology for users across the clinical and quality assurance areas to control standard operating procedures, policies and manuals, based on the global regulatory requirements.
Shionogi information technology general manager Kohji Takeda said the ComplianceSP was selected for greater control over quality and manufacturing documents.
"We were impressed by the simple intuitive interface and QUMAS's extensive knowledge of quality requirements and understanding of the SharePoint architecture," Takeda added.
The key SharePoint 2010 collaboration capability is compliant with FDA CFR 21 Part 11 regulatory requirements.
Qumas CEO Kevin O'Leary said, "The selection of QUMAS will open up new possibilities for Shionogi to speed up their regulatory compliance processes and delivery of quality products."
