Indian auto maker Tata Motors has reported total sales of 49,611 vehicles including exports, commercial and passenger vehicles during August 2013.
During the month, the company sold a total 44,717 vehicles in the domestic market that includes the commercial and passenger vehicles.
In August, the automaker sold 33,153 commercial vehicles in the domestic market that included 24,904 units of the light commercial vehicles (LCV) and 8,249 medium and heavy commercial vehicles (M&HCV).
Cumulative sales of commercial vehicles of the company in the domestic market for the fiscal were 176,853 units, which included 127,547 LCVs and 49,306 M&HCV sales.
Total sales of passenger vehicles in the month reached 11,564, including 8,761 vehicles in the range of the Nano/ Indica/ Indigo, while the Sumo/ Safari/ Aria/ Venture range recorded sales of 2,803 units.
The company exported about 4,894 vehicles in May 2013, adding to 20,606 units exported during the fiscal year.
