US-based enterprise content management (ECM) software developer Hyland Software has introduced the new OnBase Insurance Field Adjuster App for specific use on Windows 8 platform.
Developed in close cooperation with Microsoft, the new mobile application is designed to provide insurance claims adjusters with instant access to the required data and documents and also enable signature capture on electronic forms.
Currently available in the Windows Store, the application merges OnBase and Windows 8 to quickly resolve claims through real-time access to improve responsiveness and enhance customer service.
Hyland insurance solutions and alliances head Ed McQuiston said the claim adjusters require rapid access to policy agreements, damage photos, repair estimates, loss notices and notes to do their jobs while traveling to claims sites or visiting with claimants or setting on-site appointments.
"We know that having a quick response to a claim is imperative to increase customer satisfaction and help insurance providers stay competitive," McQuiston added.
Microsoft Windows Apps Marketing senior director John Richards said, "It offers the adjusters the flexibility to be efficient in the field and the office, with information always at their fingertips."
The adjuster application also provides real-time notifications of new claims and work items besides providing with an ability to use the native device camera to capture photos to accelerate the claims process.
